The Business Executive
Hi, I’m Carly Nelson—founder of The Business Executive. My journey into finance began during my time in the banking sector, where I uncovered a genuine passion for financial management. That discovery led me to pursue a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting, and confirmed that I’d found my calling.
While working in accounting firms, I developed a deep appreciation for small businesses. But I also noticed something missing: consistent, meaningful interaction between accountants and business owners. I wanted to be more than just a once-a-year contact—I wanted to make a real, ongoing impact. That desire led me to bookkeeping, where I could work closely with clients and support their success week in and week out.
Driven to offer tailored, hands-on financial services, I became a registered BAS Agent and launched The Business Executive.
